Why are they showing us this trash?

This morning as we were getting ready, Good Morning America was running in the background. During the course of about 30 minutes, I heard how Hannah Montana was seen in a movie with her father driving without her seat belt on. I heard about Roger Clemens' court battle over steroids. I heard how fast food is bad for you (major news flash there!). To sum it up: a waste of 30 minutes. Nothing about Darfur. Nothing about Kenya (that's already old news - I guess we've lost interest). Nothing about the child sex slaves in Cambodia. Sickening is the only word that comes to mind.
